Outstanding Wear Protection
The elevated heat and friction of modern two-cycle marine motors can exceed the film strength of inferior oils, increasing the likelihood of scuffing and wear. HP Marine's exclusive synthetic formulation provides increased lubricity for reduced wear during normal and lean-mix operation (see field study results). In 534 hours of field testing, HP Marine completely prevented piston skirt and cylinder bore scuffing, demonstrating its superior lubricity and ability to reduce friction between moving parts. It maintains a strong lubricating film even in lean-mix, severe-service conditions, helping marine engines achieve maximum life.
Excellent Deposit Control
HP Marine is formulated with MAXDOSE™, a system of advanced additives for "super-clean" operation. It helps prevent deposits that lead to poor performance. In field testing, HP Marine inhibited ring deposits that can cause ring sticking and ring jacking (carbon build-up behind the ring, forcing it outward), a phenomenon that occurs in modern DFI outboard motors. It also virtually eliminated exhaust port deposits for reliable, efficient operation.
Proven in Marine E-TEC Field Study
HP Marine was installed in a 250-hp Evinrude E-TEC engine powering a heavy-duty marine rescue vessel. Following a 28-hour break-in period at the normal oil setting, the engine was programmed to its factory-lean setting and operated for 506 hours prior to disassembly. An ASTM calibrated rater examined and awarded each component either a merit rating on a scale of 0 to 10 (with 10 representing no distress) or a percentage rating (with 0 percent representing no distress). Results prove HP Marine provided exceptional wear protection and deposit control.

worth the extra money
Even thou my old Suzuki 2 stroke does not require this more premium oil. It makes it run much better. The plugs do not foul out and the motor runs faster and smoother! I believe it is from the extra cleaners in this oil. Over the years of using non-synthetic oil the rings and reed valves became sticky and now they are free moving. Worth the extra money.

Best 2 stroke oil made
I have had 15 different outboard engines over the years. I started running this oil 3 years ago in a Johnson 75, 1981 model. The cheap oil kept fouling bugs every 90 days due to carbon build up. I switched to the factory synthetic hd50 and plugs lasted 6 months but still smoked a lot. Changed it to amsoil and smoke stopped and so did the carbon. Plugs were now changed at 1 year but didnt need it. Compression numbers stayed the same for three years. Now I have a merc 115 that I'm switching from their factory semi synthetic oil to amsoil.

I was in need of two stroke oil for the start of my bass tournament season. After speaking with a buddy who is also a bass fisherman he is also a dealer of Amsoil Products. He convinced me to give it a try. I've burned through two and a half gallons of the HP Two Stroke oil and I couldn't be happier! Been using this oil in my oil enjected Yamaha outboard for three years now.
Very little smoke on start up and no visable smoke at idle or full throttle. As long as it performs this good I have no plans of changing oils.

Excellent oil
I had a 200hp mercury efi engine that blew up when rod cap came off. Put a new powerhead on it, ran nothing but Amsoil HP in it. Loaned boat to a friend who trimmed it to high causing the engine to overheat. When it was torn down for repair the hone marks were still on the cylinder walls after 3 years.

bought a Grady White with dual yamaha 200 HPDI they were 8 years old. I installed an hour meter which reads 2974 hrs and each of those hours wre Amsol 2 cycle Marine oil. NOT one major problem with these engines. Very Very Smoke.

Hp marine 2 cycle
I have been an Amsoil and dealer years ago. Got out of it for financial reasons, and am now back! Always ran 100:1 in my dirtbikes, and have already noticed a significant change for the better in my 1990 Johnson 200 GT outboard. I disabled my BRO, so I run 50:1 permit with mid grade gasoline. The motor starts easier, less smoke, and zero carbon build up on plugs, even with fogging oil on spring start up. The previous owner ran sub-par syn blend and the difference in performance is night and day! Super happy to be back with the oil that started it all, and continues to be the best! Will be putting XL in my HD F150 this month! Thank you Amsoil for the blessing of fantastic oil I can depend on.....

Best outboard 2 stroke oil for everyday use!
I use both my boats year round here in Florida and have had zero problems with lubrication or carbon buildup since I started using HP Marine back in 2011. I have many friends that I have convinced to try Amsoil and they have noticed easier starting, increased power, and reduced carbon buildup on pistons. We just love the results from this great Oil! Very little smoke and a pleasant smell make this my go to oil for my outboards. I will use nothing else. You should too!

Great 2 stroke outboard oil.
I run this in my 09 250 Yamaha HPDI bass boat. Could not be happier, clean plugs, engine runs flawless, very little smoke, and costs less than Yamalube. I also run in my old 25 hp Mercury tiller steer, runs and trolls at idle speeds great. Formerly ran this oil in my 150 hp Johnson for almost 10 years and had zero issues with the motor and a friend now owns the boat and still running great using same oil. 5 stars and costs same if not less than comparable synthetics.

I have a 2007 Yamaha VMAX 150 HP on my saltwater flats boat. I was using the Yamaha Lube, but the Amsoil product is superior. I have less smoking, and less consumption with the he Amsoil. It is noticeable. I have now used this product for a year, so it isn't a new phenomenon.

Evinrude ETEC XD100 replacement oil
I have been running HP marine in my Evinrude 300 on the lean oil setting for over two years. at least 300 hours of use. My dealer said the spark plugs look cleaner than most and almost did not need replacing after 300 hours. We opted to do so as we were going to put another 300 hours on it before the next service I burn 1/2 tp 3/4 of a gallon each day so XD 100 was adding up. I bought 3 cases of gallons when Amsoil offered free shipping. I was down aroind $30 per gallon where XD100 runs $44 to $48. at the local marina.

1955 Evinrude 25hp oil mixture
I ran 6 gallons of Amsoil mix at 1/2(4oz)
Normal mix is 8oz per gallon
There were no signs of insufficent lubrication
Motor didn't smoke quite as much. Of course it wouldn't with only 4 oz.
I didn't pay attention to any oil globs coming up from below water line that is present on starting a cold motor
with an 8oz mix. So that is still pending observation. I don't think I would go as low as 2oz/gallon though.

Bought a brand new 90 HP Evinrude Etec outboard motor this year. The Evinrude dealer told me they put AmsOil Hp marine Synthetic 2-stroke oil in the motor. Evinrude will still cover on warranty. The dealer said it's a lot cheaper than buying Evinrude XD100. Works GREAT! No Problems with this oil.

As a prior engine builder and worrying about engine failure from worn, rod bearings, piston rings, cylinder wall damage, I learned with Amsoil pure synthetic oil there was NO visible wear after numerous races on the engines. I use nothing but Amsoil in all my gasoline engines.
